With over 100 MOD sites across the UK, opportunities in the MDP are on a national scale. However, most new recruits are likely to be based at Aldermaston, Berkshire, for the majority of their two-year probationary period.

Following this, the minimum tour length is three years and all Officers, including Home Office transferees, are normally expected to serve for this period before becoming eligible to apply for another position of the same rank.
Upon joining the MDP you will be liable for any relocation costs. However, we will endeavour to provide assistance with moving costs for all subsequent postings.
